Sunday 7 March - Beaulieu River to Bucklers Hard
Leader: John Clark
10.00 am until to 4.00 pm (6 miles)
Meet in Beaulieu car park, off Palace Lane at SU 386022 (O/S 196 - Solent) where car parking charges apply. Variety of River and Woodland birds including possible Kingfisher
Please bring lunch or there are facilities in Bucklers Hard.

Sunday 14 March - Bursledon, Mallards Moor and Hamble

10.00 am until 3.00 pm (6 miles)
Meet in Bursledon Station car park SU 489 098 ( O/S 196 - Solent) for this scenic circular route with a steep climb to start. Please bring lunch, or there are facilities in Hamble. You will need some cash as we cross the river by ferry. A variety of habitats to include woodland, river and farmland. Walk category ‘B’

Saturday 20th March - West Hayling to include Hayling Oyster Beds

Leader: Russ Tofts
9.30 am until 12.30 pm (2.5 miles)
Meet at the car park behind Esso petrol station at SU 717029 (O/S 197 - Chichester ). Expected species include coastal birds such as ducks, geese, Grebes (Black-necked), possibly diver species, early migrants and Kingfisher.

Sunday 21st March - Broadmarsh, Budds Farm and South Moors

9.30 am until 1.30 pm. ( 3 miles ).
Meet at Broadmarsh car park at SU 699055 (O/S 197 - Chichester) for this walk round the shore to South Moor and Budds farm in search of birds – NB the new road layout means you have to do a U-turn to enter car park as there is no right hand turn into the car park entrance – continue up Harts farm way and where it widens you can turn and come back to car park entrance. Bring coffee/lunch Walk category ‘A’.

Sunday 4th April - Exton to Beacon Hill
Leader: Nick Wiley
10.00 am until 3.00 pm ( 6 miles)
Park in Exton village and meet by the church gate at SU 613211 (O/S 185 - Winchester) for this walk over an area of woodland, farmland and open countryside with a chance of seeing, among others, Yellowhammer and Red Kite.
Bring lunch. Walk category ‘C’.

Saturday 17th April - East Meon, Hockham Valley & Duncoombe

10:30 am to 3:30 pm (6 miles )
Meet at the Workhouse Lane Car Park, East Meon SU 676221 (O/S 185- Winchester) for this walk over woodland, farmland and chalk grassland. Species likely to be seen include Buzzards and Ravens,with possibility of Red Kites.

Sunday 18th April - Migrant Birds at Farlington Marshes

9.30 am until 2.00 pm. ( 3 miles )

Saturday 24th April - Portland and the Bill.

10.00am until .3.30pm.( 3 miles)
Meet at Cheyne Weare car park SY 693704. (OS 194 - Dorchester, Weymouth). Walk around the Bill looking for returning migrants, Guillemots, Razorbill and maybe Puffins. Bring sandwiches and coffee/tea. Alternatively reasonably priced refreshments are available at the Lobster Pot at Portland Bill. Telephone 023 8026 6774 evening before to confirm if weather forecast looks bad.

Sunday 25 April - Winterbourne Downs
Leader : Patrick Cashman
10.30 am until 12.30 pm (1.5 miles)
Join Patrick on this guided walk to explore the area where Stone Curlew, Lapwing, Corn Bunting and Grey Partridge can be seen. Manor Farm is owned by the RSPB so donations will be collected. Restricted places to book please e-mail r.maclean@sky.com Directions will be given on booking.

Sunday 2nd May - Whiteley Pastures and Botley Wood

10.00 am to 2.00 pm (4 miles)
Meet at Parkway at SU 534095 (O/S 196 - Solent) A walk through woodland concentrating on bird songs and calls including, hopefully, Nightingales. Walking boots advised.

Wednesday 5th May - Selborne, In the Footsteps of Gilbert White
Leader : John Eyre
8.00 am until 10.00 am (2 miles)
Meet at the Selborne Car Park behind the Selborne Arms Pub SU 741334 (O/S 186 - Aldershot and Guildford) Join John on this guided walk to explore the area, then return to Gilbert White’s House for refreshments, a talk and your own leisure time around the museum and garden. Saturday 8th May - Martin Down and Vernditch Chase

10.30 am until 3.30 pm ( 4 miles)
Meet in the car park on the south side of the A354 at SU 044205 (O/S 184 - Salisbury). Vernditch chase the morning then Martin Down in afternoon. This is a walk for both birds and flowers and if fine weather a good range of butterflies.
Bring lunch if stopping all day

Sunday 9 May - Learn about the Nestbox Recording Scheme

10.00 am onwards
Location – Given out on Booking – Restricted numbers. A chance to visit a nestbox recording scheme, in woodland near North Baddesley. Blue and Great Tits are the usual occupants, however, we may be lucky to see Nuthatch. There will also be a chance to do some general birding on the site.

Sunday 9th May - Migrant/Summer Birds at Titchfield Haven

9.30 am until 2.00 pm (4 miles).
Meet at layby at SU 549043 ( O/S 196 - Solent) on West of Titchfield - Stubbington road (B3334). Take the A27 through Fareham and turn left on the B3334 at the roundabout just before Titchfield village. After the glass houses continue past Crofton Farm on the right them turn right into a disused section of the road.

Saturday 15th May - Durley including Greenwood & Brown Heath

10.00 am until 3.00 pm ( 5 miles)
Meet in the car park, by the recreation ground, at Kytes Lane , Durley SU 522168 ( O/S 158 - Winchester), for this walk through farmland & woodland. Possible sightings of Cuckoos, Hirundines, Warblers and butterflies. Bring lunch.

Sunday 16th May - New Forest - Beaulieu Road Station area

Meet at Shatterford car park at SU 348064 (O/S - Outdoor Leisure 22 or O/S 196 - Solent) for this gentle stroll in typical New Forest habitat, for typical heathland birds plus summer visitors. Morning only but lunch useful

Meet in the Worth Matravers car park at SY 975775 (O/S 195 - Bournemouth) for this largely coastal walk. Possibility of auk and Peregrine with the bonus of a delightful lunch stop. Bring lunch.
