The Hampshire Ornithological Society is run by its Management Committee. The major activities of the Society are delegated to two sub-committees – the Membership Committee and the Scientific Committee. The committees meet three times a year and manage the activities of the Society according to their Terms of Reference and the Society Rules, which are available on this website.
HOS is a registered charity and the members of the Management Committee are the Trustees of the charity. All members of the Management Committee are elected or re-elected annually at the Society AGM.
All committee posts are voluntary and we are always happy to have additional help. Membership of the committees, whether to elected posts or not, is open to any adult member of the Society. If you would like to join a HOS Committee, please contact the Honorary Secretary or the chair of the sub-committee. Address details are on the committee pages.
