Garden Bird Watch

RedwingGarden BirdWatch is a national year-round project run by the British Trust for Ornithology, that gathers important information on how different species of birds use gardens and how this use changes over time. Gardens are an important habitat for many wild birds, providing a useful refuge for those affected by changes in the management of our countryside.

Over 16,000 people take part in Garden BirdWatch (including over 600 in Hampshire) and send in simple weekly records of the bird species using their gardens. These can be submitted online. For more information or if you would like to participate, go to the Garden Bird Watch pages of the BTO website.
